Donna Duval, FACMPE
Grants Pass, OR
In my career I have worked different areas of healthcare, from receptionist, medical biller, office manager, EHR trainer and manager, to my current position as Management Services Director. In 2016, I broadened my career scope and went to work at AllCare Health to support our Independent Physicians staying independent and to develop and maintain successful practices. This drove my desire to earn my CMPE and FACMPE credentials. The process of obtaining these credentials provided me with the knowledge and tools needed to ensure I was providing solid information from a reliable source. I encourage our practices to join the Oregon and National MGMA, and help our office managers obtain their CMPE certification.
Earning your CMPE and FACMPE is very rewarding, both personally and professionally. These certifications will show your dedication and professionalism to medical practice management.
One of the most exciting parts of obtaining your certification is meeting a new network of colleagues. Working together to share expertise and advance our careers.
I excited to help you in starting or continuing through the CMPE program.

Providence Heart Institute
My entire career has been in healthcare in the Portland area. I started at OHSU in 1997 and have held various leadership roles at private and hospital-based practices. I am currently the senior operations manager for the Providence Heart Institute. I have a passion for education, and in 2021 decided to complete my CMPE certification through MGMA. I found it such a rewarding experience that I immediately applied for Fellowship, which I completed in 2022. As a leader in healthcare, earning your CMPE and/or FACMPE credential will provide the knowledge and tools needed to support and advance your career, and I encourage everyone I can to apply for certification. Earning my FACMPE credential was highly rewarding to me professionally and personally, and I am happy to be a support to anyone considering certification. Please reach out any time, let's connect!

I have been in the healthcare industry for 16 years, and have spent the majority of my career working with Federally Qualified Health Centers and Rural Health Centers. I obtained my Masters in Healthcare Administration in 2012. I have had the opportunity to work in different areas in healthcare; Prosthetic and Orthotics, Primary Care, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, and Critical Access Hospital. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing organizations on many different projects and initiatives. I have worked with clinics on Patient Centered Medical Home(PCMH) and Patient Center Primary Care Home(PCPCH) achieving top tier in both programs. I have enjoyed helping the clinics I work with move forward with exciting new ways to improve operations and quality! I was so excited to help clinics achieve success to improve quality and operations that I went on to get training as a LEAN greenbelt. I have a passion for helping clinics improve customer service and communication, I am a master trainer for both TeamSTEPPS and Patients VOICE both programs designed to help improve customer service and communication.
I have for many years wanted to achieve my ACMPE and was delighted to be able to work at an organization that supported my goal. I received my ACMPE in 2022 and got my FACMPE in early 2023. Earning both the ACMPE and FACMPE is a validation of the many years of work that go into learning all the different areas of medical practice management. Earning your ACMPE is an exciting and very rewarding process.
I have been in Oregon for the last 8 years, enjoying all the wonderful outdoor activities Oregon has to offer! I love to hike and Kayak exploring the lakes and trails here in Oregon.
