Acceleration of Health Care Change
2010 OR/WA MGMA Annual Meeting | April 17 -20 | Bellevue, WA
Our health care system faces unprecedented change in the near future. Rising costs, increased consumer demand, personnel shortages, and administrative complexity have combined to create a perfect storm, and reform is inevitable.
Practice managers are challenged to fight change with change, and to find extraordinary opportunities in order to achieve high levels of quality, safety and financial performance. Exceptional leadership is required to successfully implement major change. The skills and knowledge needed are rare qualities, and the complexities of today’s health care system make implementation especially hard.
This meeting will examine the major trends affecting medical practices, and will explore the changes that we’re likely to see in the next few years. We will provide practice managers with practical concepts, tools and models for positioning their practice for success. It also will include instruction on understanding the evolving market dynamics and the breathtaking changes medical practices face in order to compete and thrive.
As always, this meeting offers cutting edge medical group management education with world-class speakers and experts, along with a host of breakouts on topics that practice managers will need to align their practice for success.

The new bylaws for the OMGMA were passed at the May 18 business meeting at the Oregon Washington Joint Conference in Portland.
The book of work looking forward to complete this document will include several policies and charters to be crafted, and a decision regarding whether or not our valued vendors will be offered the opportunity to enter a partner relationship with OMGMA, or if they will be invited to become affiliate members of the organization.
