Med-X Staffing is looking to fill a Medical Billing Manager for an organization Clackamas.

A qualified candidate will be well-rounded, experienced and proficient in medical billing and coding. This is currently a part-time position (approximately 30 hrs/wk WITH Benefits) with full-time potential as our department grows. With a flexible schedule, you will be on site with a few days a week with the ability to work from home the remainder of the week. Candidate will be highly organized and can work independently to ensure client satisfaction, timely filing of claims, A/R follow ups, and payment posting. There will be inbound calls from patients for payments as well as outbound calls to various insurance payers for claims status, denials, and appeals.

Compensation for the Medical Billing Manager

(pays up to $55K DOE) (Hire on Bonus $1,000) The starting salary for this position ranges from $50-50k annually depending on experience.

Requirements of the Medical Billing Manager

5+ years of medical billing experience required

Progressive leadership experience a plusSales background or interest a plus

Coding Certification and/or Billing Certification through an accredited association required -Bachelor’s Degree desiredDemonstrate and apply knowledge of medical terminology and general medical office procedures including HIPAA regulations

Knowledge of insurance processes and billing guidelines/regulations required

Excellent writing and communication skills

Other Skills:

Knowledge of ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS coding

Proficient use of computers including Microsoft Office 2010 applications

Skilled in 10-key by touch and keyboarding

Ability to operate general office equipment

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently, as well as in a collaborative team setting

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Knowledge of Commercial and/or Government Payors

Ability to identify, research, and resolve credit balances, missing payments, and unposted cash as it pertains to billing account follow-up
