Job Brief

Northwest Anesthesia Physicians is

looking for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget development and monitoring, financial performance metrics, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, you will make it your mission to streamline our budgeting, timekeeping, payroll, and financial reporting processes. As a working executive you will perform necessary financial outputs. You will produce thorough financial-status reports for our board of directors to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and produce all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, timekeeping, payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, tax compliance, revenue recognition, and various special analysis

Manage month-end and year-end close process

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting to include reconciliation and internal audit

Prepare and organize financial statements for record and review

Prepare monthly and annual financial reports

Manage the monthly and annual budgets

Manage retirement plan financial outputs and complianceFacilitate compensation and benefit administration

Partner on contract management and negotiations

Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations

Organize information and statements for external auditors

Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting

Ensure company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements

Additional duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field required, MBA highly preferred

10+ years proven accounting experience, with a minimum of 5+ years as a senior accountant level

Professional accounting certification(CPA, CMA or CFA), CPA highly preferred

Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)Proven payroll experience, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes

Exemplary history of financial project management

Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting

Health care industry experience highly preferred
