Job Description:

The Vancouver Clinic has an exciting new opportunity for a Director of Operations – Women and Children to join our team of healthcare professionals! 

The Director is a seasoned and effective healthcare leader with high visibility and accountability across the organization. In concert with the Medical Director dyad, the Director is a Lean Leader who is responsible for the strategic and financial performance of the departments of OB/GYN, MFM and Pediatrics. These departments are foundational to Vancouver Clinic’s patient care and growth strategy. The Director will apply Vancouver Clinic’s principles and behaviors to develop ways to support expansion of services to our community. The ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader with the proven ability to achieve large project and initiative goals through application of lean processes and principles.  


  • BA in Business, Healthcare, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing patient or customer service teams in healthcare, service, or other business operations, including hiring, managing, and developing direct reports, as well as creating and managing to an operational budget.
  • Experience with Women’s services and Pediatrics preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Lean processes to improve business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate goals and leadership messages designed to promote organizational strategies.
  • Experience creating strong dyad relationships with medical leadership preferred.
  • EMR experience in EPIC preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine how current/future trends and legislation impact healthcare, e.g. access, patient/staff satisfaction, turnover, and to develop plans to adapt effectively.
  • Experience in analysis and financial modeling of business units is necessary.
  • Capacity to inspire and mentor others with superior interpersonal skills achieving results through a collaborative effort.
