It’s Conference Time!
The OMGMA Fall 2007 Conference will be held at Salishan Spa and Golf Resort in Gleneden Beach September 12th – 14th. The focus of the Conference will be on providing attendees with updates on various aspects of our industry. The Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Leonard Friedman, Director of OSU’s Healthcare Administration program. Dr. Friedman will be trying to answer the question “What in the Heck is Going on in Healthcare Today?” Other sessions will focus on topics such as Medicare Advantage Plans, A Medicare Region 10 Update, Trends in both the Insurance and Employee Benefit areas, and Identify Theft.
Though Salishan is a wonderful place to have a Conference, the Resort will require us to tweak our traditional Conference format. Some of the changes include Wednesday’s open reception will include a time with Exhibitors from 6 to 8 PM with a “must be present to win” prize drawing featuring over $1,000 worth of prizes being given away. The Grand Prize will be $500 in cash. Traditionally, the exhibitor raffle is held at lunch Friday but space constraints will not allow us to have an Exhibitor area on Friday, so the prize drawings will be held during the Social time preceding Thursday’s Dinner. To encourage you to attend Friday’s sessions, we will have a second “must be present to win” Prize Give Away during Lunch on Friday with over $1,500 worth of prizes including a Grand Prize of $750 cash.
In addition to the great sessions and wonderful prize Give Aways, we’ll have our annual Golf Scramble at the Salishan Golf Course on Wednesday, a fun time with Dinner and Entertainment on Thursday Night, and great times to network with your colleagues throughout the Conference.
